Merry Christmas

Congratulations

Congratulations to MaKenna and Colby for doing a great job on their Soil & Water Conservation posters. They were winners for the school and they each did really well for the county also.

Christmas Fun

The day before we got out for Christmas break, we had a special Christmas music concert. Mrs. Bair had students who are learning to play the piano play Christmas pieces while the classes were coming in and sitting down.

Then, each grade sang a song.

Welcome to the Newest Addition to our Class

We were absolutely thrilled last Monday when Mr. Wheeler came to our classroom. I had talked to him at a training I had to go to the week before. He was asking how the MoBi and clickers were working in class. I let him know that we LOVE it all. Then, he asked if I thought my class would like to have a couple more MoBi-s. I said my kids would LOVE that. He told me had thought he had a couple extras and would drop them off on his way through the next week. I didn't want to get our hopes up too high. But, we now have Bob (Miss Johnson's MoBi)...and Bobbette and Bob Jr. (all voted on by the class). Right after we got them, I let the kids each take a turn writing on them. They learned that it is not as easy as it looks. We're looking forward to being able to use these in class each day. If you ever come visit, ask and we'll let you try your hand at writing with them too.

Spell-a-Thon

Everyone did an AWESOME job on the Spell-a-Thon. Can you believe that our class average was 94%? I think that is SUPER! Good job guys--I am proud of you.

On December 6th the ‘’Trendsetters’’ came to our school and preformed a short assembly. The ‘’Trendsetters’’ are a group from Declo High School. They sing and dance.  This year they did a Christmas theme. (They normally do) On December 8th we (the fifth and fourth grade) went blowing at ‘’Snake River Bowl.’’ We had a great time bowling. (Some kids a have a hurt thumb because a lot of the holes on the bowling balls were too small.) On December 10th we are having a treat sale. The money is going to the fifth grade. They are selling Candy Canes and Popcorn. On December 9th we had a Spell-a-thon assembly. The PTO would announce names and then the kids would go up on the stand and get there prices. Next week we are having a Christmas Program. In Social Studies we are learning about the Constitution. In math we are learning about double digit multiplication and dividing by factors of ten.
