This week we did a lot of things we had to change the blog kind of so we needed to have an editor and three reporters. This week’s reporters were Colby, Brian, Sebastian, and MaKenna as an editor. This week in science we are learning all the systems in our body. We have covered all the systems now. We talked about the muscular, skeletal, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, and the nervous system. In the respiratory system we made a model of the lungs.

Another thing we are going to talk about is prep. On Monday in computers we worked on a site where we work on multiplying and Mavis Beacon. In music we sang “A Winter Wonderland” and played a game where you name a musical note and if you got the name right then you got to throw a wet piece of toilet paper at a snowman and get points for our team. In library we played four corners and MaKenna kept winning. In P.E. we played hockey and Nicky ran into the rock climbing wall, but he’s OK.

My assignment was to write about math. We have learned about simple probability, writing quotients as mixed numbers, fractions equal to 1, finding a fraction to complete a whole, performing probability experiments, using letters to identify geometric figures, and estimating answers. Now our lessons have thirty problems. We have taken our second fifth grade PLATO test. That’s what’s been happening in math lately.

Revolution Play

I want to thank everyone for their great job in the Revolution Play. It is one of my favorite things the entire year. Everyone worked SO hard...and it turned out really well.

It's kind of sad to say....we are leaving the Revolution behind (after many months) and moving on to many other interesting topics.
Thanks kids!!!
